Sometimes you find a recipe you really want to try, and on the ingredients says, for instance: 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice…
In some countries you can find this mixture, generally used in fall-related recipes. But actually, you can make this mixture yourself, it’s very easy:
INGREDIENTS:
1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground nutmeg
½ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp ground allspice
¼ tsp ground cloves
INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix all the spices and you’re done. You can keep it in a small jar or plastic bag well sealed.
BONUS:
How about a pumpkin latte for a cold afternoon? It’s delicious! Here goes the recipe:
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups warm milk
2 tbsp pumpkin puree
½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tbsp vanilla extract
½ cup hot coffee
Sugar to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
With a blender on high speed, mix the milk, pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice and vanilla extract. At this point, you can add sugar. I prefer that each person adds sugar to taste when served.
Once everything is well mixed, add the coffee and mix a bit more until everything is well mixed.
Pour the latte into 2 to 3 cups and sprinkle a bit of pumpkin spice on top. Enjoy!
